Rathburn’s past, present, and future were covered in the most recent edition of The Indiana Manufacturer magazine. Founder Jerry Rathburn’s focus always was to make sure his company would “be known for the quality of the people here and the quality of the work we turned out every day.” More than four decades later his vision endures.

“We’re always asking: ‘How can we do it better?’” says President Angie Holt. The company’s recent additions of a new HYDMECH saw, a Sodick VN600Q high-performance rigid linear motor drive wire EDM, as well as other high-end equipment have certainly helped Rathburn exceed performance goals in recent years. That drive to always get better resulted in being named the DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce “Business of the Year” in 2023.

Everyone at Rathburn is proud of its rich history. But the company is also focused on a promising future with a commitment to expand its precision machining portfolio, perhaps even with an entirely new facility.
